Philippine Medical Society Medical Missions

In addition to local outreaches, the Philippine Medical Society's East Coast Chapter of Florida organizes medical mission trips to the Philippines. In the summers of 2005, 2006, 2007, and in January 2009 and February 2011, the Philippine Medical Society sent over forty volunteer doctors and medical staff on a medical mission to offer assistance to people living in the poorest rural areas of the Philippines. A medical clinic was created to provide medical care to 2000-3000 patients throughout an entire week. The next missions trip is scheduled for 2013, where the team of volunteers hopes to provide medical care for patients in the Cavite area.

Donations to the Philippine Medical Society Medical Mission can be made at the event or by visiting their website and clicking on Sponsorship.
